#10 Dennis Dugaard (a clone of Rounds) was elected governor
#9 Eldon Nygard switches to being a Republican State Senator after being elected as a Democrat
#8 Ben Nesselhuf gets defeated for Secretary of State
#7 Governor Rounds practices Nepotism by appointing his son-in-law to a $75,000 a year job in Pierre
#6 Governor Elect Dugaard appoints his son to a job in Pierre continuing the practice of nepotism by rounds
#5 Dusty Johnson gets re-elected to a 6 year term to the PUC
#4 Dusty Johnson resigns after 2 weeks to become Dugaard’s Chief-of-Staff
#3 Chris Nelson gets appointed to the PUC to fill the vacancy of Dusty Johnson thus keeping being gainfully employed by the state
#2 nothing has changed in Pierre, it will be business as normal.
And the #1 reason not to be a Republican in South Dakota.....This really, really TICK’S ME OFF!!!!!
Governor-elect Dugaard said: “people who oppose Hyperion are environmental extremists.
Since when is it a crime to protest a stupid government decision (is that an oxymoron or what?) many people in this area and around the state are almost to the point they are fearful of their lives and the lives of their families because of the threat of Hyperion to build a refinery in Southern Union County. The last time I looked, we still had freedom of speech and the right to assemble as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.
Hyperion has yet to prove they will be the “green” refinery they are touting. Hyperion cannot disprove statements that this will be harmful to the environment or to the people in this area. Hyperion refuses to submit an environmental impact statement to prove who and what they intend to do is safe. Hyperion is a joke
If this makes us environmental extremists, I am so honored and Oh so proud to be a part of it!

Main reasons to not be a democrat in any state in the union.
1. Constantly whining
2. Expected republicans to handle defeat yet when defeated cry more then my 2 year old.
3. Total lack of common sense.
4. Prefer to tell others how they should live yet do the exact opposite because they believe they are above it. I.E....Al Gore expects me to drive a prius yet flys on a private jet, travels in caravans of black Suburbans, Lives in a home that uses more electrity in one month then my home uses in a year.
5. Expects others to pay for the healthcare of people that refuse to do for themselves what I am willing to do for myself. I.E. Work for every thing I am!
6. Instead of creating jobs want to create more social programs that are increasingly impossible to pay for unless the money is borrowed from China.
7. Have no real concerns for the people that elected them other then to get there votes. This is obvious since the indepentdents that voted for them 2 years ago bailed just as fast as they came.
8. More concerned about the great horned owl then the great American worker.
9. Claim to be on the side of minorities yet track there history durring the civil rights movement and get back to me on that.
10. Have no backbone and will vote for whatever gets them elected the next time around. (Didnt Obama say he would never extend the Bush tax cuts but just yesterday said he would?....WEIRD!)
You are a typical liberal that is concerned with only one thing which is yourself. I dont know a liberal that gives one rats ass about any thing other then there agenda which only benefits them.

Eric - i don't think you have been reading my blog very long so i will fill in a few facts for you. up until daugaard called those of us who are opposed to hyperion environmental extremists, i was a lifelong conservative republican. i don't whine, i state facts that are contrary to common sense about the refinery.i have very strong ideas of keeping my good health and protecting the environment. this refinery is a danger to both. this is my belief and i'm sticking to it until someone can prove me otherwise.
